98% of Celebrities Are One Tragedy Away from Begging for Cash – Kumi Guitar Exposes Audio Lifestyle of Colleagues

Highlife musician and Zylofon Music signee, Kumi Guitar, has come out to publicly confess that he has gone broke and things are now quite very tough for him financially.

The “Betweener” hitmaker made this sad confession whiles speaking in an exclusive interview with Docta Cann on Happy FM.

According to Kumi Guitar, music doesn’t pay as many people believe and most of our A-list acts are very broke in real life although they normally share flashy kinds of stuff on the internet.

He further went on to add that, he hasn’t been able to make any huge sum of money from his music career after being in the music industry for more than a decade.

Disappointed Kumi Guitar who sounded very pained and worried throughout the interview additionally hinted that he’s contemplating on whether to leave the music scene in the coming months or not because it’s clear that he won’t be rich from making music.

Moreover, he also slammed GHAMRO for failing to put proper structures in place so that musicians will enjoy the fruits of their labor when they grow old.

He used the late Nana Amapdu as a typical example where he cited how he was struggling to meet ends meet after he partially retired from making music and had to solely depend on royalties.

In his own words;

I fear for myself when I see the lives and living conditions of our old musicians. Some people say they didn’t live good and meaningful lives or refused to invest their monies but that is not right. If the systems are working, they can’t fall so low and be broke in their old age.

Sometimes it gets hard and I ask myself if I should stop music or not. It gets hard sometimes. We have families and children we need to take care of

He ended the interview by emphatically stating that almost 98% of the musicians we know are very hungry and a step away from storming the internet to beg for help.
