We are saddened to report the unfortunate passing of the Australian aerial skier. Yes, we are talking about Brittany George who had gone missing. Well, now, it is coming forward that she has passed away. As per reports, Brittany’s dead body was found on January 27, in a Brisbane neighbourhood. The news has shattered all her loved ones who were close to her as they had been praying for her well-being and had not imagined that they have to witness such kind of news. The Queensland Police had taken Brittany George seriously and were investigating it.
According to the reports, the family members of the aspiring Olympian had told the police about Brittany’s medical condition. Thet had revealed that she was battling a medical condition and that her disappearance is “out of character”. Earlier in October, Brittany had spoken about mental health struggles in a podcast interview. She had shared that she had been battling mental health issues after the tragic accident.
Who Was Brittany George?
Brittany had shared that the accident shattered her dreams to take part in Olympics which led her to struggle to deal with her identity without skiing. George had stated that she did not have an identity. Brittany George had further added that since childhood, she was an athlete and had dreamt of participating in the Olympics and that she did not have any backup option if she did not do well as a skier so she is completely lost.
The aspiring skier said that she had spent 12 hours a day with athletes for 10 months a year and did not know what to do when it suddenly stopped. Brittany’s father Constantine Gus also shared in an interview that his daughter wanted to represent her country in the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics. The Australian Skier was reportedly missing since January 21 in the same area where her lifeless body was found. However, Brittany George cause of death has not been confirmed yet as investigation is still underway and the deputies are trying to determine the circumstances, her death happened.
From 2017 to 2020, the 24-year-old had been a member of the Olympic Winter Institute of Australia. Throughout her career, she took part in several competitions until her life-threatening back-breaking injury shattered her dreams. Besides, a GoFundMe page has also been created to raise money that will be used in funeral arrangements and to celebrate the life of George. We pay homage to her soul!
