Real Madrid midfielder Casemiro could move to Stamford Bridge in the upcoming January transfer window, with the club also linked with a swoop for the “next Eden Hazard”

Chelsea have been linked with a sensational move for Real Madrid midfielder Casemiro.

The Brazil international is being touted as a replacement for Saul Niguez, whose loan move from Atletico Madrid has not worked out as planned.

It comes after young Belgian star Charles De Ketelaere was backed to make a huge switch to Stamford Bridge – and be a big success if he does move to the Premier League outfit.

And with the January transfer window now less than a month away, several Blues stars are being linked with moves away from the club.

Ziyech eyes Ajax return

Chelsea winger Hakim Ziyech has said he would “love” to return to former club Ajax.

Ziyech has been linked with a move to Spanish giants Barcelona ahead of the January transfer window, but he may have made hispreference over his next career steps clear already.

When asked if he would like to go back to Ajax, the Blues ace told Ziggo Sport [via Sports Mole ]: “I would love to. I had a fantastic time there.

“It is a place where I have felt at home, and whether it will ever happen, the future will tell. If it is up to me, it will definitely happen.”

Youngster backed for Chelsea success

Charles De Ketelaere has been backed to become a huge success at Stamford Bridge – even though no transfer has been agreed.

Paul Courant, who was a former player and a ‘top scout’ for Club Brugge, says the Belgian winger , who has been labelled the “next Eden Hazard”, would “play immediately” if Thomas Tuchel decided to sign him up.

During an interview with Het Laatste Nieuws, via Sport Witness, he said: “I’m going to tell you [how high he rates De Ketelaere] right away; very high. Put Charles at Chelsea tomorrow and he will play immediately.

“Especially, under that trainer [Thomas Tuchel] – I know that club and the vision of their coach a little bit.”

Casemiro eyed

Chelsea are ready to swoop for Real Madrid midfielder Casemiro, it has been reported.

El Nacional reports that Carlo Ancelotti “does not consider him untouchable”, and that Real Madrid has “very seriously considered the possibility of transferring him”.

It adds that Casemiro is “very much to the liking” of Thomas Tuchel, who has asked Roman Abramovich to approve a move for the Brazilian.

It is reported that all Chelsea must now do is persuade Real Madrid president Florentino Perez to sanction the deal.
