The Ashanti region Chairman for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, has told John Mahama to clear off and not to expect to succeed President Akufo-Addo in the future.
Ghana’s former President Mr. Mahama, has said that he will continue with projects started by the current government if he is given the chance to lead the country after the 2024 general election.
Addressing the Bono Regional House of Chiefs in Sunyani on his “Thank You Tour,” the 2020 Flagbearer of the NDC rather accused President Akufo-Addo’s government of neglecting projects started by his administration thereby causing financial loss to the State.
But Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako aka Chairman Wontumi, in an interview with Wontumionline.com, debunked John Mahama’s assertion noting that he is telling “big lies”.
He challenged to speak on the affordable housing projects former President John Agyekum Kufuor left behind which was never completed by his NDC government when he(Mahama) had the opportunity to serve as President.
Chairman Wontumi also stated that the John Mahama led government refused to complete the Euroject hospital projects the NPP government left for John Mahama’s government and wondered if the latter considered this before addressing the Bono Regional House of Chiefs in Sunyani.
Sofoline interchange project was also abandoned by John Mahama, Chairman Wontumi added and warned Ghanaians not to forget the 2020 flagbearer for the NDC can never be trusted.
He therefore urged all to keep the NPP in power after 2024 noting that it would make the country progress steadily.
