MTN Ghana came out with some statements which had something to do with the safety of MOMO users from risk and any acts concerning theft, fraud, and robbery.
Today, MTN came out to repeat the enforcement of this policy just to protect their users.
I am generally talking about the ‘No ID card, no cash-out’ policy.
This statement from MTN portrays that if you do not go to any MOMO merchant agent with an ID card, you cannot be able to make a withdrawal of money.
The General Manager of MobileMoney Limited, Eli Hini commenting on this said, “The enforcement of this directive apart from being a regulatory requirement will also complement efforts being taken by MTN MoMo to curb MoMo fraud in the country. MobileMoney Limited remains committed in the fight against MoMo fraud and will continue to implement measures that will make the service safer.”
