Media conglomerate Media General Group has partnered with Camel, a PZ Cussons brand, on its corporate social responsibility project ‘Because We Care’.
The project is committed to providing GH¢250,000 to support families.
Speaking at the launch of the new partnership, Group Chief Executive Officer of Media General Beatrice Agyemang said the project resonates with some, if not all, of the subsidiaries of her firm.
“‘Because We Care’ resonates with TV3, Onua ‘Ye dwen wo ho’, and Media General at large since it falls directly in line with one of our core values, ‘Concern for the Community’,” she said.
“Media General through 3Foundation has supported hundreds of children with hole-in-heart diseases and varying chronic illnesses for so many years.”
In praising the new partnership between the two firms, Madam Agyemang welcomed other firms in similar partnerships.
“Our unparalleled achievements would never have been possible without the partnership and support of like-minded institutions that believe in our core values and extend a helping hand,” she noted.
“Therefore, this partnership is worth celebrating since it reflects what we stand for. Our doors are open, and we will continue to welcome other companies and institutions that would want to effect a positive change in society.”
Camel is expected to contribute GHp10 from the sale of every bottle of Camel Antiseptic Liquid to raise the monies to support families.
