NBU Alumni Give Students Vocational Skills Training – Leaky News

Alumni of the European Union Funded Project; No Business as Usual (NBU) have given vocational skills training to students of Wataniya Islamic Basic School.

The training equipped students drawn from Primary 6, JHS 1, 2 and 3 with practical know-how on the preparation of cake, assorted fruit Juice and fresh yoghurt.

Over hundred participants were educated by trainers; Zainab Nuhu-CEO for Zeestyrahs Kitchen (cake preparation), Meisura Adam CEO for Meisura Enterprise (fruit juice) and Wayila CEO for Yilas Pizza and Pastries (fresh yoghurt preparation).

It was held at the forecourt of the school on Thursday 15th July 2021.

Giving his impression, Headmaster Shakid Mohammed Iddrisu described the event as the first of its kind since the inception of the institution.

He explained that prior to the event, students were only given theoretical exposure “but this event has given them a practical knowledge on how to prepare cake and fruit juice and fresh yogurt”.

He appealed to executives of NBU Project to take the students of the school through more such event.
