BJP mayor Tista Biswas died in a horrific car accident. The ward coordinator of ward 7 of Kolkata municipality died in an accident in Tamluk. It is learned that She went to a college near Henia in East Midnapore to get the final certificate of M.Ed. While returning from there, a tragic accident took place on National Highway 41 near Nimtauri area of Tamluk police station. Tista Biswas Das, BJP-Ward Coordinator, Ward 8, Kolkata Municipality, died on the spot. Her husband Gaurab Das and daughter Avantika were seriously injured in the incident. News that they are being brought to Calcutta.
It is learned that a lorry had broken down near Nimtauri on National Highway 41, Haldia Mecheda. At that time, the vehicle of Tista Biswas was slowed down on the way. An oil tanker sped off from behind and hit the back of their car. The representative’s car twisted on the spot. The Tista’s husband and daughter were rescued by the locals. The locals could not get Teesta out of the car. Tamluk police went and rescued the mayor. She was rushed to Tamluk District Hospital where doctors declared Teesta dead. Teesta’s husband and daughter were rushed to Tamluk District Hospital but later shifted to Kolkata Hospital.
