GV posted a statement on their website where they announced the disheartening news of Clark passing. The CEO David Krane stated that they have lost a good friend and the partner of GV and that the loss is immeasurable. He also added that Tyson was facing some health complications which eventually took his life. He also said that the GV team extends their deepest condolences and sympathies to Clark’s family and all his friends and loved ones. David said that the company will forever keep him alive in its hearts and that they are privileged to know his intellect, warmth, mentorship, humour, and integrity.

Let us inform you that Tyson Clark was only 43 at the time of his death. He had joined the company six years ago with the sole motive to focus on enterprise technology in addition to startups in the SaaS application and data centre infrastructure spaces. After working for a while in corporate development Andreessen Horowitz, he joined the powerful investing unit.

Earlier, he also worked at Oracle and at Morgan Stanley, he worked as an investment banker. At Stanford, the 43-year-old completed industrial engineering and later from Harvard Business School, he did MBA. During the pandemic, Tyson was actively investing along with funding and meeting with founders remotely. For a virtual summit, Tyson spoke with the editor in chief at Andreessen Horowitz last year.

Tyson was asked by Sonal about his one key skill that motivated him to be an investor to which he refrained from talking about his personality, ability to synchronize and intelligence but he said that you can teach someone a network and that you just show up with it.
